CHARGE OF THE GODDESS
Listen now
to the words of the Great Goddess,
who in ancient times was called
Artemis, Astarte, Diana,
Innana, Isis, Ishtar, Aphrodite,
Cerridwen, Hecate, Lillith,
Kwan Yin, Freyja
and many other names.

Whenever you have need of anything,
and better it be when the Moon is full,
then shall you assemble
in some secret place
and adore the Spirit of Me,
who am Queen of all Witches.

There shall you assemble,
you who wish to learn all sorcery,
yet have not won its deepest secrets:
to those will I teach things
that are as yet unknown.

You shall sing, dance, feast,
make music and love, all in my praise.

For mine is the ecstasy of the Spirit,
and mine also is the Joy on Earth,
for my law is love unto all beings.

Keep pure your highest ideal:
strive ever towards it,
let none stop you or turn you aside:
for mine is the secret door
which opens the Land of Youth,
and mine is the Cup of the Wine of Life
and the Cauldron of Cerridwen,
which is the Holy Grail of Immortality.

I am the gracious Goddess
who gives the gift of joy
unto the hearts of all.

Upon Earth, I give the knowledge
of the Spirit Eternal
and beyond death,
I give peace and freedom and reunion
with those who have gone before.

I demand no sacrifice,
for behold:
I am Mother of all living,
and my love is poured out upon the Earth.

CELEBRATION
OF THE GODDESS

We give birth to relationships,
to works of art, to hope, to peace,
to children and to each other.

Allow the rhythms of Nature to whisper to you.

Feel the waxing and waning of the Moon,
the changing of the leaves, the brewing of a storm,
the flame of love.

Accept the emotions these rhythms bring and dance with them.

Oh Great Mother

Teach me the wisdom of laughter
and the blessings of tears.

Teach me to love without exception and to trust my intuition.

Teach me to feed my soul.
